CHW Grant Expands Diabetes Newsletter

Sun Sounds of Arizona was recently awarded a $10,000 grant from Catholic Healthcare West Community Grants-Chandler Regional Medical Center to expand "Diabetes Newsletter" from 30 minutes to a one-hour program.
Hosted by Sun Sounds volunteer reader Bill Diekmann, "Diabetes Newsletter’s" new format will include discussions with diabetes experts, recorded listener questions, and even more in-depth information about diabetes research, treatment and health maintenance. At a recent luncheon and check presentation hosted by Catholic Healthcare West Andrea Pasquale, Program Manager at Sun Sounds, received the grant check.
Catholic Healthcare West in the East Valley invests in community outreach and educational programs, participates in advocacy, and establishes partnerships that ensure that our community is equipped with healthcare tools and knowledge. In 2007 Catholic Healthcare West in the East Valley supported the community with $8.5 million in benefit to education, support programs and resources.
